According to an informative note issued by Energocom, the minimum amount to be procured will be 251 thousand MWh, and the maximum - 263 thousand MWh, compared to 204 thousand MWh in December 2022. The electricity purchase price remains unchanged - 73 USD/ MWh. Thus, the electricity purchased from MGRES for the month of January will constitute 86% of the consumption needs of the right bank of the Nistru, in addition to the energy produced from renewable sources and CETs. Energocom announces that it is also negotiating with suppliers from Romania to meet the electricity requirement. We remind you that on December 3, the Republic of Moldova signed the electricity supply contract with the Cuciurgan Power Plant, offering in return the entire amount of natural gas delivered to our country by the Russian Gazprom concern. In December, the Cuciurgan Power Plant delivered more than 53 percent of the required amount of electricity to the right bank of the Nistru. As a result of signing this contract, electricity for consumers has become cheaper.
