"I would like one day Chisinau to be a city like the European capitals", reads the message of the president Maia Sandu, on the ocasion of the Chisinau City Day.
"I saw Chisinau for the first time when I was 4 years old. I was fascinated. Chisinau looked very different from other towns, with cafes where the tastiest ice cream was, with museums, cinemas, theaters, with many parks. Today for us, those who live in Chisinau, the city means, above all, friends, memories and emotions experienced here. We love the places of Moldova for the experiences they offer us. We love Chisinau because it makes us feel at home and because here we know every street corner, every alley in the park, every vegetable market.
I would like one day Chisinau to be our dear city not only because it is part of us, but also because it is a model of urban development and comfort, a city with clean air, modern public transport, bicycle paths and clean yards. A city like the European capitals, which we love and talk about with pride. Happy birthday, dear Chisinau residents!", the head of state wrote on a social network.
We remind that the municipality has prepared for the citizens a cultural-artistic program, in the open air, to present the culture and beautiful attractions in the city.
