A man from Nisporeni, sentenced to 13 years in prison, after he beat his own mother to death
A 38-year-old man has been sentenced to 13 years in prison after beating his own mother to death. The sentence was pronounced on Wednesday, November 22, by the magistrates of the Ungheni Court.
According to the General Prosecutor's Office, the drunk man started a conflict with his mother. The altercation degenerated into a fight, and at one point, the son hit his mother several times in the head. As a result of the traumas received, the woman died.
At the hearings, the man admitted his guilt. The sentence is not final and can be appealed within 15 days from the date of the reasoned sentence, at the Chisinau Court of Appeal.
