The Republic of Moldova received a new aid from the EU, worth 70 million euros. The money will be used to pay energy compensation bills
The European Union transferred 70 million euros to the Republic of Moldova in the form of non-refundable budget support intended for the Energy Vulnerability Reduction Fund. The announcement was made by the Delegation of the European Union in the Republic of Moldova on the Facebook page.
According to the Delegation of the European Union in the Republic of Moldova, the money will be used to pay compensations on the energy bill for vulnerable people.
The 70 million euro tranche, disbursed today, is part of the 105 million euro budget support announced by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, during her visit to Chisinau in October.
