Second round of repeat voting in Aluatu

The second round of repeat voting for the mayor of Aluatu village in Taraclia district is underway today, according to the Central Election Commission. There is only one polling station in the village, and 770 voters are registered on the lists. For the elections to be valid, at least 20% of the registered voters must participate.

It is worth mentioning that, following the general local elections of November 5, it was found that in 8 localities in the country, turnout was less than ¼ of the number of registered voters, including Aluatu village in Taraclia district.

After the repeat voting on November 19, none of the candidates for mayor in this locality received more than half of the valid votes cast to be elected in the first round.
