The Parliament Speaker, Igor Grosu, sent a video message in which he congratulated the Moldovans who celebrate Christmas new style. In his message, the Parliament Speaker said that this year our country fulfilled all the recommendations of the European Commission and opened negotiations for EU accession. Also, the Speaker pointed that the Republic of Moldova showed the whole world that its citizens are true Europeans, not only through aspirations, but also through concrete steps.

"Dear people of Moldova, dear friends! Now at the end of the year more than ever I want to celebrate our common victory. This year we showed the whole world that we are true Europeans, not only through aspirations, but also through concrete steps. We fulfilled most of the recommendations and opened the EU accession negotiations, and we did all this together as a united family, where everyone contributes and helps to make things go well for the common interest. Thank you that you trusted that this belief and enthusiasm has helped us move forward. The year 2023 will remain the year that showed us who we are, we are Europeans!", said Igor Grosu.

The Parliament Speaker also said that the European path of our country will be a long road, but together we will go towards the goal we set for ourselves.

"That's why I want this holiday season to celebrate the fact that we are European people and that we have the courage to go towards the goal we set for ourselves, it will be a long road, but we Moldovans are not afraid of our work. Moreover, this work will unite us and make us stronger in the face of challenges. Dear friends, let's celebrate Christmas in the family, together with our loved ones, and those who are far from us, let's call them and tell them that we miss them and that we love them. For Christmas let's be better and believe in miracles! Happy holidays!", added Grosu.

The Chisinau authorities have no reason not to accredit the new ambassador of the Russian Federation in Chisinau, Oleg Ozerov, the Parliament Speaker, Igor Grosu, told TV8.
