Religious service on old style Christmas Eve live on Moldova 1 TV
It's Christmas Eve in the old style, and tomorrow, on the day of the holiday, Moldova 1 broadcasts live, starting at 09:00, the Christmas Liturgy from the "St. Dumitru" church in Chisinau. This holy place is a monument of architecture and history of national importance.
Built in 1902, the "St. Dumitru" church in Chisinau was closed in 1962 by the then communist regime. In 1990, the place was reopened with the help of a group of believers. Since the same year, a library has been operating next to the church, and in 2004 a Sunday school and a social center were established. During the live broadcast of the Christmas liturgy from the "St. Dumitru" church in the capital, the children's choir will delight the viewers with a concert of carols.
"We are eagerly waiting for you at the holy communion, at the great dinner that God the Heavenly Father, the Great Lord, makes in honor of his son, our Lord Jesus Christ. It is best to listen or receive this event among the brothers, in the church and then, if you have no other possibility, on the TV screens, we suggest you enjoy it with us", said the priest Pavel Borșevschi, the parish priest of the church "St. Dumitru " from Chisinau.
