Moldova President Pledges Progress on Reforms, EU Bid During APCE Talks

Moldovan President Maia Sandu met with co-rapporteurs for Moldova from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (APCE) to discuss the country's reform agenda, institutional strengthening efforts, and commitment to the rule of law.

According to the Presidential press service, Sandu reaffirmed Moldova's unwavering dedication to advancing its EU accession process. "The vital support of the Council of Europe in bolstering our democratic institutions accelerates our progress towards achieving our goals," she emphasised.

Sandu underscored the authorities' resolute commitment to concluding the justice reform and eradicating corruption, which she identified as a critical threat to national security.
