Several members of the European Commission will go to Kyiv for a meeting with the Ukrainian Government
More than half of the members of the European Commission are to travel to Kyiv on February 2 for a meeting with members of the Ukrainian government, on the eve of an EU-Ukraine summit, reports Agerpres.
The EU-Ukraine summit, which brings together Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and the President of the European Council Charles Michel and the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, is set for February 3. The officials will discuss in particular the European financial and military support in the context of the war started by Russia. The Ukrainian presidency has announced that the meeting will take place in Kyiv, but the European side has not yet confirmed the location. European Commission spokeswoman Dana Spinant told AFP that on the eve of this meeting, "around 15 commissioners" out of 27 will go to Kyiv for a meeting with members of the Ukrainian government.
