EU to Discuss Moldova Defense Aid on March 7
The European Union is going to discuss new defence assistance for the Republic of Moldova as the country faces increasingly aggressive destabilisation efforts from the Russian Federation.
The announcement was made by the deputy spokesperson of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He stated that the situation in the Transnistrian region is being closely monitored by the European community and specified that the subject will be discussed in Paris at a meeting, which could take place on March 7.
Discussions there are expected to include cyber defence, arms production, defence of countries threatened by Russia, especially the Republic of Moldova, protection of the Ukraine-Belarus border, and demining operations.
