Moldova Energy Costs Drop: New Tariffs Announced
Therefore, residents of the municipality of Chisinau will pay 2,138 lei for a gigacalorie of thermal energy, a decrease of 636 lei from the previous tariff.
Consumers in Balti will now pay 2,245 lei for a gigacalorie, a reduction of 970 lei.
Additionally, electricity costs have decreased by five bani for residents in central and southern regions of the country. The new tariff is 2 lei and 34 bani per kWh. Residents in the north will see a four bani decrease, resulting in a price of 2 lei and 84 bani per kWh.
The new tariffs, approved by the National Energy Regulatory Agency on March 19th, were officially published in the Official Monitor today.
