Escalating Tensions: Russia's Aggression Towards Ukraine
Russia launched 57 rockets and drones at Ukraine on Sunday, targeting Kiev and the Lviv region in western Ukraine, according to official sources.
Polish military forces reported that one of the Russian cruise missiles briefly violated Polish airspace, as per Reuters.
According to Ukrainian air forces, they successfully neutralised 18 out of the 29 rockets and 25 out of the 28 attack drones launched by Russia.
Early Sunday morning, several explosions shook Kiev. Serhiy Popko, head of the military administration in Kiev, communicated via Telegram that Ukrainian air defence forces intercepted over 10 rockets launched by Russia over the capital and its vicinity.
Popko additionally stated that the attack resulted in only minor damage.
Russia has been targeting Ukraine for several days, purportedly in retaliation for Ukrainian actions during the recent presidential elections.
For the third pre-dawn morning this week, all of Ukraine is under an air alert and has been advised to seek shelter. Russia continues to indiscriminately launch drones and missiles with no regard for millions of civilians, violating international law.

"For the third consecutive morning this week before sunrise, the entire Ukraine remains under an air alert, with advisories urging people to seek shelter," announced American ambassador Bridget Brink.
"Russia persists in launching drones and rockets indiscriminately, displaying disregard for millions of civilians and flouting international law."
