Detained, then released. The police about the detention of the brother of the former head of state Igor Dodon

Alexandru Dodon, the brother of the former head of state, Igor Dodon, was detained in Moscow the other day. The information was confirmed by Diana Fetco, head of the communication and protocol section of the General Police Inspectorate.

According to the cited source, the authorities from the Republic of Moldova did not participate in the hearing of Alexandru Dodon, who was released shortly after, being detained only for documentation. The former mayor of Balti, the leader of Our Party, Renato Usatîi, was the one who publicly declared that Alexandru Dodon was detained on Tuesday, January 17, in Moscow. In a press conference held on Thursday morning, Usatîi said that Dodon's brother had already been released, but did not provide details about the reasons for his detention.
