Inaugurated three years ago, the panoramic Square in the Ciocana sector of the capital is once again under repair
After spending over three million lei of public money, the panoramic Square in Maria Drăgan Street in the capital will be repaired again. This time, the amount allocated for the project has doubled, and the municipal authorities assure that they will start the works as soon as they obtain the construction permit.
Although three years have passed since the launch of the panoramic square in the capital, renovation works will start here shortly. Landslides occurred due to the heavy rains, as well as poor quality work. For this reason, for the safety of passers-by, the area has been restricted.
People say that this destination has become attractive for the residents of the capital, only that the panorama could not be admired for a long time. Moreover, after the area has been fenced off, moving here is risky as people are forced to walk on the road.
"It would be desirable when a work is scheduled to include a pedestrian lane, because I can't cross back and forth. It was all arranged here, beautiful, it was a pleasure to admire the view".
"Many people here from the playground walk on the road, with children in hand, because the road part is not laid out either."
"It was good for a while, but after that it started to go downhill, it needs to be fixed," people say.
As the authorities say, in order to prevent further landslides, it was decided to build a concrete wall.
"We researched the soil very well based on a geological study and trained experts in this process, probably the best in the city, and landslides should not happen in the future," said Vasile Efros, head of the Planning Department Chisinau.
The capital city hall estimated that the repeated development of the panoramic square will cost the municipality almost seven million lei.
