Interactive Fun! Celebrating Children in Chișinău

Thousands of children in Chișinău revelled in surprises and a variety of activities organised throughout the capital for International Children's Day.

The festivities included a program of creative workshops, interactive games, sports demonstrations, and even dog training exhibitions. Ice cream and sweet treats were plentiful, adding to the joyful atmosphere.

The children were particularly delighted by exhibitions showcasing equipment and special vehicles from the Moldovan Ministry of Internal Affairs subdivisions. They marvelled at the displays and gained a deeper appreciation for the work these departments perform.

The organised activities proved to be a big hit with the children. Some youngsters participated in creative workshops, while others danced, rode horses, or even donned firefighter gear to experience the thrill of firefighting firsthand.

Emi and Lachi, two dogs expertly trained by Border Police cynologist Ghenadie Rotaru, stole the show, captivating the attention of both the children and their parents.

"I loved how the dog moved! I've never seen anything like it before," exclaimed a child who visited the Botanical Garden today.

Older children participated in valuable training sessions, learning essential skills on how to help people in risky situations.

"This is all new to me! I learned how to help people in dangerous situations, hopefully I'll never need to use it," remarked another child.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs, along with the Ministry of Education and Research and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Moldova, proudly co-sponsored the "Let's Celebrate Childhood Together" program. As part of the event, the first 3,000 children received complimentary ice cream, juices, and sweet treats.
