Moldova Raids Target Corruption in Red Notices

This morning, on June 4, 2024, the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (ACO) of Moldova conducted multiple searches as part of a joint investigation with French authorities.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) of the United States is also assisting in the investigation. The probe centres on allegations of a corruption scheme involving public officials from Moldova and other countries. These officials are suspected of accepting bribes to interfere with the publication by INTERPOL of Red Notices for internationally wanted criminals.

The head of the ACO, Veronica Dragalin, announced at a press briefing that four individuals have been detained for 72 hours in connection with this case.
