President Mattarella's Visit: Traffic Measures in Chișinău

Access for individuals on certain streets in the capital will be temporarily restricted this Monday and Tuesday.

This measure is being implemented due to the official visit of Sergio Mattarella, President of the Italian Republic, to the Republic of Moldova. Therefore, from June 17-18, between 08:00-18:00, traffic restrictions will be enforced in the city centre and on the roads connecting to Chișinău International Airport.

Additionally, Chișinău City Hall has announced prohibitions on mass demonstrations, road repairs, as well as maintenance work on electrical, thermal, water supply, and sewerage networks, and tree cutting along the route of the official procession.

Drivers are urged to comply with traffic agents' instructions, demonstrate patience and discipline, and strictly adhere to traffic regulations.

The Presidency has confirmed that President Sergio Mattarella will arrive in the Republic of Moldova on Monday, June 17. On June 18, he will meet with President Maia Sandu.

The presidential institution emphasises that Sergio Mattarella's visit marks the first official visit by an Italian President to the Republic of Moldova, underscoring Italy's significant partnership with our country.
