According to the Executive, the measure comes as a result of the accelerated increase in the interest rate. For this purpose, 75 million lei were provided in the state budget for 2023.

According to the decision approved by the Government, the volume of compensation granted to a beneficiary is calculated in the amount of up to 4 percentage points of the amount of the interest increase.

The compensation is granted monthly, for the period January-June 2023.
