Today, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection provided 16 additional vehicles to the Territorial Agencies of Social Assistance for these teams, with a total value of 5.8 million lei.

During the event, the Minister responsible, Alexei Buzu, emphasised that many parents of children with disabilities are often left to manage on their own, and the "RESTART" reform is intended to support those facing difficulties.

"What we are doing today, including through the RESTART reform and by extending this service to 12 more districts, is an effort to stand by these parents when everyone else has turned their backs on them. We are here to help them navigate this extremely challenging path. The fight is for each individual child. The fact that a child can attend school or kindergarten is a significant achievement. This is our goal, and this is what we are fighting for."

Ina Tcaci, head of the "Mobile Team" service within the territorial social assistance structure in Edineț, stated that properly equipping frontline professionals with the necessary tools is crucial for the successful integration of as many beneficiaries as possible into society.

"The 'Mobile Team' social service has been operating in the Edineț district since 2011 as a pilot project. We provide assistance to individuals with severe and profound disabilities. The addition of these vehicles is very well-received, and mobility is essential to reach communities in districts and localities that are not near district centres, particularly for beneficiaries who cannot travel independently to rehabilitation or multifunctional centres."

The "Mobile Team" service was established in 2011. At the beginning of this year, it was operational in 15 districts, and it is now available across the entire country. This donation is part of the broader implementation of the RESTART reform and the modernization of the National Agency for Employment.
