Driving licenses of Moldovan citizens will be recognized in Latvia. The government starts negotiations to sign an agreement

Moldovan and Latvian citizens will have the right to convert their driver's license without taking any additional exam. The Chisinau authorities decided to negotiate an agreement on the recognition of driving licenses between the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Latvia.

"The possession of the driver's license will ensure the right of citizens to drive vehicles in international traffic and their employment related to the field of transport", reads the Government's press release. When this agreement is implemented, the Republic of Moldova will continue "foreign policy measures aimed at the development and consolidation of good international relations with the states of the European space in different segments, including the field of internal affairs", reads the press release of the Executive.
