Moldova Partnership Platform: 65 international delegations, expected in Chisinau on September 17
The Republic of Moldova will host on September 17, 2024 a ministerial conference within the Moldova Partnership Platform, a continuation of the Support Platform for the Republic of Moldova initiative, launched by Germany, France and Romania in March 2022, announced the head of diplomacy from Chisinau, Mihai Popșoi.
The conference in September will bring together 65 international delegations, including ministers, deputy ministers, secretaries of state, representatives of the diplomatic corps and international organizations. The event will be focused on four key areas, Popșoi announced: "We are focusing our efforts within the Platform's 4 working groups: 1 justice, anti-corruption and security. 2 energy, energy efficiency and environment; 3 - sustainable economic development and strategic infrastructure and 4 - public administration reform and public finance management."
According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Moldova Support Platform played an essential role in supporting the Republic of Moldova. "The platform helped us to face multiple vulnerabilities, to maintain stability, to continue economic and social reforms. The ministers of foreign affairs play an essential role in the functionality of the platform, the co-chairs of this platform, the ministers from France, Germany, Romania", declared Popșoi.
We remind you that the first edition of the Support Platform took place in Berlin, Germany, on April 5, 2022. This marked the beginning of the international community's coordinated support for the Republic of Moldova, focusing on the management of the refugee flow and economic support.
The second edition took place in Bucharest, Romania, on July 15, 2022, where energy security and public administration reform were intensively discussed.
The third edition was held in Paris, France on November 21, 2022, and included support for Moldova's agriculture and strategic infrastructure.
