The COVID-19 section of the Municipal Clinical Hospital of Pneumology in Chisinau is suspending its activity. This is because the number of COVID-19 cases has decreased, announced the deputy head of the General Directorate of Medical and Social Assistance, Vladimir Bolocan, at the Chisinau City Hall meeting.

"The COVID-19 section of the Municipal Clinical Hospital of Pneumology is suspending its activity, starting today. We managed not only to stabilize the situation, but also to take measures to reduce the number of COVID-19 cases. This once again proves that preventive measures and early reaction can lead to control and to guarantee a safe situation in the healthcare system in Chisinau", said Vladimir Bolocan.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health, between September 9-15, in the Republic of Moldova, 1310 COVID-19 cases were registered, of which 271 were in the Transnistrian region, being 15.04% less than the previous week.

372 COVID-19 cases were registered in children up to 14 years old - 12.73% more compared to the previous week. Over this period, five cases of death were recorded.
