FILIT Chisinau festival starts with the "Literature Train"
The second edition of FILIT Chisinau started with the "Literature Train" from Socola Station, Iași. During a four-hour journey, Romanian writers, translators, officials and literature enthusiasts enjoyed a poetry performance, literary debates and a concert by the Adam's Nest band.
"For the second consecutive year, we start a symbolic journey with the Literature Train, bringing the Iasi International Literature and Translation Festival (FILIT) to Chisinau. This unique experience captivates all festival participants and opens new cultural horizons. The opportunity offered to lovers of books and culture is a precious gift", says Aura Revenco, the executive director of FILIT Chisinau.
The festival brings together in the Republic of Moldova authors, poets, translators and journalists from Romania and from various corners of Europe, such as Ireland, Spain, Poland, Austria, Denmark, Germany, France and Ukraine. For four days, Chisinau will host meetings with writers, workshops for children, creative writing sessions for high school students, reading clubs and debates.
One of the highlights of the event will be the White Night of Poetry (NAP), a marathon of poetry and music, with participants from both banks of the Prut and from other countries. In the evening there will be organized a concert of the "Subcarpathia" Cultural Center, which will launch a creative contest for those present at FILIT Chisinau.
