The EBRD lends the Republic of Moldova 25 million euros. The money will be used for solid waste management
The Republic of Moldova will benefit from a loan offered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), in the amount of 25 million euros. The money is offered for the realization of the "Solid waste in the Republic of Moldova" project over the next four years.
The Parliament voted, in both readings, the draft law for the ratification of the Loan Agreement between the Government and the EBRD. The beneficiaries are the local public authorities from the Ungheni, Nisporeni, Călărași, Edineț, Dondușeni, Ocnița, Briceni, Cahul, Cantemir and Taraclia districts. The population of the respective localities will benefit from the selective collection of solid waste, and the focus will be on the transition to the circular economy.
