Igor Grosu’s message on December 1: "Thank you, Romania, for your selfless support"

The Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu, came with a congratulatory message on the occasion of Romania's National Day, in the plenary session of the Parliament. In his address, Igor Grosu expressed his gratitude for the help offered to the Republic of Moldova.

"The last two years, with crises after crises, show us who is our true friend and who is not. We always say it out loud, not in a whisper like others did. I thank Romania, for the selfless support, for schools and kindergartens, for donations, for gas, for light, especially during this complicated period. We can practically manage to connect to Europe. We will continue to work together so that citizens on both banks of the Prut live in peace and prosperity. Happy birthday, Romania, happy birthday dear Romanians", said Igor Grosu. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Natalia Gavrilița, came with a congratulatory message on the occasion of the National Day of Romania, wishing peace, health and prosperity to all Romanians. "Today we celebrate not only an important chapter in history, but also our attachment to national values and traditions. The communion of language, culture and history is becoming day by day a communion of great projects that bring people from both banks of the Prut closer together and we look with confidence towards a common European future". The Prime Minister also mentioned in his message that the ties with Romania are stronger than ever, despite the hard times: "We will continue to build, literally and figuratively, bridges that unite and strengthen us". We remind you that today, December 1, Romania's National Day is celebrated, a holiday based on the Great Union of 1918. President Maia Sandu also came with a congratulatory message for Romanians and Romania. The President stated that Romania is loved in the Republic of Moldova for the unconditional support offered to our citizens and for the strong support given to our country's accession to the European Union.
