Poland considers MiG-29 transfer to Ukraine
Poland has expressed its willingness to provide Soviet-era MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine, but only under specific conditions.
The primary concern is the protection of Polish airspace, as these aircraft are currently used to secure the country's skies.
The Polish government is considering the transfer of MiG-29s to Ukraine, but only if NATO allies agree to relocate Western fighter jets to Polish bases. This would ensure the continued defence of Polish airspace.
While Poland is open to supporting Ukraine, it emphasises the importance of maintaining its own security. The country is actively modernising its MiG-29 fleet to meet NATO standards.
Poland continues to provide significant support to Ukraine, serving as a crucial transit country. Without Polish infrastructure, Ukraine would face immense challenges.
