Tudor Ulianovschi, elected as President of PSDE: “We will succeed in consolidating and developing our great political family”

Former Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Tudor Ulianovschi was unanimously elected President of the European Social Democratic Party at the party’s Extraordinary Congress, which took place today. According to him, PSDE must be brought to the forefront of political life and prepared to assume governmental responsibility.

“Today, we mark a new stage and a new beginning for our political party and I am confident that, together, we will succeed in consolidating and developing our great political family and, in this way, offer the Republic of Moldova a strong and real alternative, capable of bringing the country out of crisis and ensuring the safety and well-being of our citizens,” emphasized PSDE President Tudor Ulianovschi.

The former leader of the PSDE, Ion Sula, who announced today that he is retiring from the party leadership, said that he would remain in the social-democratic team and would continue to work to consolidate and strengthen it.

Two first vice-presidents of the PSDE, Ion Sula and Alexandr Cauia, were also elected at the Congress.
