Moldova weather alert: Yellow warning issued for snow and sleet
Meteorologists have issued a yellow weather warning for sudden changes in weather conditions in the central and southern regions of the country.

The warning is in effect from Sunday at 16:00 until Monday at 10:00.

During this period, periodic precipitation is expected across the country, with heavier precipitation in the central and southern regions, mainly in the form of sleet and snow. Isolated patches of sleet and ice will form on the roads.
To avoid possible incidents, the City Hall of Chișinău urges citizens to use public transport instead of private cars. Drivers are advised not to park on street corners, sidewalks, or under old trees, to help reduce traffic congestion and allow specialized vehicles to respond promptly if necessary.
Public utilities responsible for road maintenance and communal services are prepared to intervene, as stated by the City Hall.
In case of weather-related issues, citizens are advised to call the Central Municipal Dispatch at (022) 22-22-67 or (022) 22-26-04.
