Over 130 athletes from the Republic of Moldova participated in the Acrobatic Gymnastics Championships

Over 130 athletes strived to convince the jury that they deserved to become national champions and subsequently participate in major international competitions. One of them is Alexa Von Willigh who has been practicing this sport for 14 years.
She was born in South Africa, her father's country of origin. Alexei's mother is Moldovan and was part of the jury.
"I am happy with my progress. My knee is bandaged, but it did not impede competing. I felt a little discomfort, but everything is fine.", said gymnast Alexa Von Willigh.
"I can say that for me, acrobatic gymnastics is a pleasant and interesting experience. I have traveled, and I have seen new things. Through gymnastics, I have learned to control myself. I have learned teamwork that will help me in life", said gymnast Ilaria Gherciu.
Within the national acrobatic gymnastics championships, spectators watched the women's double, men's double, women's triple, men's quadruple and mixed events.
"There is an increasing number of participants. Athletes perform more complicated and spectacular exercises", said Veaceslav Bulai, president of the Moldovan Acrobatics Federation.
