Fewer cases of viruses, flu and COVID-19 reported in schools and kindergartens in the Republic of Moldova

The number of cases of viruses, flu and COVID-19 is declining in schools and kindergartens. Data from the Ministry of Education show that during the past week, a total of almost 7,500 cases of viruses and flu were registered in school and preschool educational institutions in the country. Thus, the number of illnesses registers a slight decrease, compared to the period March 20-27, when just over 7,600 cases were reported.

According to the Ministry of Education, during the past week, in total, almost 150 teachers fell ill. In the reference period, according to the quoted source, the number of cases of infection with COVID-19 also decreased from 145 to 99. In order to prevent the spread of respiratory diseases and reduce the risk of illness, the Ministry of Education recommends that those responsible for education make the prevention measures more efficient.
