Marina Tauber, heard by PCCOCS prosecutors
The deputy of the "Șor" political party, Marina Tauber, appeared today before prosecutors of the Prosecutor's Office for Combating Organized Crime and Special Cases (PCCOCS). It comes after yesterday the institution issued a press release, according to which the deputy's statements about the preparation of military provocations near the Transnistrian region are false. Marina Tauber claims that her claims are true, but refuses to say who the source of this information is.
"I have confirmed this with the prosecutor on this case. On this question all the information that was communicated by me. I have confirmed that this information is true and was obtained from several sources of the international special services. - Where did you get this information that you said? - What I also told the prosecutor. This information is confidential. At least at the moment I am not going to present these details to you", said the deputy of the "Sor" party, Marina Tauber.
According to PCCOCS, MP Tauber Marina avoided making statements at today's hearing, saying she would do so at a later stage. Tauber also did not file a complaint reflecting statements made on 24 March that the Chisinau authorities were preparing military provocations in the Transnistrian region.
The MP said that these would take place on Easter Day, 17 April, and would involve the participation of at least 10 thousand Romanian citizens. The government has given assurances that the information released in the public space by the " Șor " party deputy is nothing but a falsehood and is part of a "constant discourse promoting fear and disunity in society".
