Ukraine to receive another $5 billion from G7 countries
Following the outcome of negotiations at the IMF and World Bank spring meetings, Ukraine will receive several billion dollars in additional support, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmihal said, according to RBC.
Visiting Washington on Friday, Prime Minister Shmihal said that G7 finance ministers had pledged Ukraine more than $5 billion in additional support, including additional aid packages from France, Germany and Britain.
Denis Shmihal also noted that Switzerland will provide Ukraine with 1.8 billion Swiss francs over the next six years. Denmark will also set up a special fund of €1 billion. Spain, Ireland, Japan, Lithuania, Latvia, Iceland and the Netherlands will also provide additional support to Ukraine.
