Dumitru Alaiba on SRL reform: more freedom for founders, associates and employees
The legislation of the Republic of Moldova will be significantly modernised and the best European business practices will be transposed. The announcement was made by Economy Minister Dumitru Alaiba at a briefing.
The Minister of Economy expressed his regret that dozens of Moldovan entrepreneurs, in the absence of clear regulations, have had to develop their businesses abroad, and our country's economy has only to lose from this.
According to Alaiba, the reform of limited liability companies that was launched today will give more rights to business associations, including protection and anti-discrimination rights.
"We will give more freedom for growth, for development, more flexibility to the relationship between founder, investor, partners. So there will be fewer prohibitions at the level of the law, we envisage major changes whereby all the processes of managing limited liability companies will be simpler and clearer for all parties involved," stressed Economy Minister Dumitru Alaiba.
The SRL reform provides for innovations in the legal framework, new possibilities in the decision-making process, more rights for members and simplification of many procedures. A working group was set up to amend the law, made up of representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitisation, the Ministry of Justice, the Economic Council and associations such as AmCham, EBA, FIA and AIM, according to a press release from the ministry.
