Border Police banned 22 people from entering the Republic of Moldova

The General Inspectorate of Border Police announces that in the last 24 hours it has refused entry to the Republic of Moldova for 22 persons. In total, the flow of travellers on 22 April was 56,665 crossings, with a higher number being recorded on the direction of entry into the Republic of Moldova - 30,920 persons crossing.

"With reference to border crossings by citizens of Ukraine, a total number of 11,412 crossings was recorded, of which 6,127 - on the way of entry into Moldova. At the same time, 1,690 were crossings of Ukrainian minors," the Border Police statement said.

The most requested crossing points were at the border with Romania, where 33,113 crossings were recorded. At the Moldovan-Ukrainian border, 17,226 crossings were reported and another 6,326 crossings - at the air border.

Border inspectors advise travellers to consult the Border Police Hotline (022 259 717) or to check the situation at the crossing points online (http://border.gov.md/camere-web) before setting off.

During the day of 22 April, border inspectors recorded two illegal crossings of the state border, documented six persons for violation of the border zone regime, identified one person with a national consignee and recorded 39 violations of the rules on the use of vignettes and vehicle operation.
