For five hours, law enforcement officers will simulate traffic on the streets of the capital, while traffic will be temporarily restricted on the main arteries in the Botanica and Centru sectors. During the rehearsal, official convoys will move to the summit venue. Similarly, traffic will be partially limited on the road between Chisinau and Bulboaca. The police are issuing a series of recommendations and maps with alternative travel routes and urge drivers to show understanding for any difficulties.

Law enforcement officers inform that from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., road traffic on the main arteries in the Centre and Botanica sectors of Chisinau, as well as in the areas bordering the capital will be limited during the movement of the official columns involved in the general simulation.

In this situation, the inhabitants of the municipality of Chisinau are urged to travel through the Buiucani sector, which will be used as a transit sector to bypass the stretch of streets on which the official delegations will travel.

For travel from the Ciocana and Riscani sectors to the Botanica sector or the upper part of the Centru sector, traffic will be allowed on Toma Ciorbă and Mihai Viteazul streets. Traffic from Botanica to Riscani and Ciocana sectors will be organised on Mihai Viteazul Street or on any street where traffic is not stopped.

2,500 guests are expected to attend the European Political Community Summit on 1 June, which will take place at the Castle in the village of Bulboaca, Anenii Noi. So far, 40 state and government leaders, including Emmanuel Macron, Klaus Iohannis and Olaf Scholz, have confirmed their attendance. The summit will also be attended by senior European dignitaries including European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen and European Parliament president Roberta Metsola. 1 and 2 June will be declared holidays and the school year will end on 30 May.
