Chisinau kicks off the winter holidays. On Saturday, December 17, the Fair will be launched and the Christmas Tree will be inaugurated in the Great National Assembly Square. The lights on the tree in the center of Chisinau will be lit at 17:00. Also on Saturday, several decorated means of transport will be put on the routes. This was announced today by the mayor of Chisinau Ion Ceban, at the weekly meeting of City Hall services.

According to the mayor, this year's Christmas Fair will feature local producers with traditional dishes and folk craftsmen with various holiday items. At the same time, according to the mayor, on December 24 and January 6, on the eve of Christmas in the new style and the old style, carols will ring in the Square. "We are preparing all sectors, because even despite all the crises, the current situations, we cannot deprive people of holidays, especially the little ones, who are looking forward to these holidays. We have organized that on Friday, Saturday and Sunday the children will receive gifts from Santa Claus in the little house we have set up," said Ion Ceban, the mayor of Chisinau.
