Moldovan rescuers continue the search work in Turkey: The body of a person was removed from the ruins
"After checking the buildings affected by the earthquake, the USAR Moldova team collaborated with the search and rescue service of Turkey and they identified another sector where their intervention is necessary. In the established area, it is assumed that there could still be people under the rubble", states IGSU.
During the day of February 14, the team of Moldovan rescuers will continue the search work, as well as the evaluation of the blocks and residential houses. Their activities are carried out by means of specialized equipment, but also of two dogs trained in search missions.
We remind you that the search and rescue team of the Republic of Moldova arrived in Turkey to carry out the international mission in the morning of February 9, and during 5 days they worked forming mixed teams with rescuers from Hungary, Mexico, the Netherlands, and Turkey.
