Dorin Recean, in Străseni: We must find solutions for the problems of citizens and the business environment
The integration of the Republic of Moldova into the EU bloc will be a crucial investment in people's welfare and building a prosperous state, Prime Minister Dorin Recean said during a visit to the Straseni district. The Prime Minister talked to the people of the region and told the representatives of local authorities about the priorities of the Government and the benefits of European integration.
Prime Minister Dorin Recean said that one of the Government's priority objectives is to modernise villages and towns and raise the living standards of all citizens.
"We are convinced that the integration of the Republic of Moldova into the EU bloc will be a crucial investment in the well-being of the people and the building of a prosperous state. That is why our top priority is to launch accession talks with the European Union by the end of this year. It is important to talk to citizens about the opportunities for economic and social growth that the pre-accession phase offers. At the same time, we have an obligation to find together the best solutions to the problems of citizens and the business environment", said Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
Local elected representatives highlighted the problems they face in their daily work, including the shortage of specialists and labour caused by the migration of young people abroad; the lack of sewage and water networks; the need to adjust the legal framework in the field of salaries and the need for wider consultation on budgetary and fiscal policy on the platform of the Joint Commission.
At the same time, the mayors talked about plans to modernise localities by implementing projects with external and internal funding.
The Chief Executive spoke about the importance of strengthening efforts to modernise communities and improve people's quality of life, mentioning the "European Village" programme which provides financial solutions for a wide range of local projects.
