Wines from the Republic of Moldova won gold and silver medals at an international competition held in Francea
Moldovan sparkling wines won five gold medals and seven silver medals at the 21st edition of the international competition for the best sparkling wines in the world, Effervescents du Monde 2023, reads the official page of the competition.
According to the organizers, 470 sparkling wines from 20 countries participated in the competition. The competition was organized by the Oenology Forum from November 28 to December 1, 2023, in Château des Ravatys, France.
The Republic of Moldova is among the top 20 wine-producing countries, being also an important exporter worldwide. The wine industry represents one of the key branches of our country's economy. Moldovan wines are imported by over 70 world countries.
