Residents of Aluatu village, Taraclia district, elected their mayor in the fourth attempt
The residents of Aluatu village, Taraclia district, will have a mayor. This is the PSRM representative, Anatolie Gusarenco, for whom over 62% of voters voted on Sunday.
According to the Central Electoral Commission, on Sunday in this locality, repeated voting took place in the second round for the election of the mayor of the locality.
According to the preliminary results, a participation of 24.9 percent of the number of voters included in the electoral lists was recorded. The 188 validly cast votes were distributed as follows:
Gusarenco Anatolie, Political Party "Party of Socialists from the Republic of Moldova" - 115 votes (62.17%) Elena Celac, "Party of Change" Political Party - 73 votes (38.83%).
We remind you that, following the general local elections of November 5, it was found that in 8 localities in the country, a participation of less than ¼ of the number of people registered in the electoral lists was recorded, including in the village of Aluatu, Taraclia district.
After the repeated voting on November 19, in this locality none of the candidates for the position of mayor got more than half of the number of votes validly cast, to be elected in the first round.
On December 3, the second round for the election of the local mayor was held, but this election was also declared invalid due to low turnout.
