Spokesperson of the MAEIE moves to the Presidency in the position of adviser for European affairs and strategic communication

Igor Zaharov was appointed as adviser to the head of state for European affairs and strategic communication. Also, the adviser to the president for foreign affairs and strategic communication, Olga Roșca, will be adviser on foreign policy, according to the decree signed by the head of state on January 30, informs the Presidency.

According to the cited source, Igor Zaharov will start his work on February 26.

We remind you that, from March 2023, Igor Zaharov held the position of adviser to the deputy prime minister, the minister of foreign affairs and European integration, Nicu Popescu. Before that, he worked at the British Embassy in the Republic of Moldova, where he was responsible for communication and media. Igor Zaharov has a degree in political science and completed two master's programs, one in European studies at FRISPA, USM, and another in strategic communication at King's College London.
