Moldova Approves Urgent Aid for Ukraine

Moldova approves a new humanitarian aid package for Ukraine, according to a decision by the Cabinet of Ministers.

The aid package includes material goods worth 4.9 million lei, to be transported by the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, said Interior Minister Adrian Efros.

"The Ministry of Internal Affairs will receive funding from the Government's reserve to cover the costs of aid delivery. Moldova aims to provide swift humanitarian assistance to Ukraine, which remains affected by the armed conflict," said Adrian Efros.

The aid consists of essential supplies in the energy and medical fields, such as blood transfusion systems and disinfectants, as well as food in the form of canned goods. This follows similar aid packages provided to Ukraine last year.
