EU funds for energy: Moldova receives first tranche of €400 million loan
The Republic of Moldova is enhancing its energy security by securing a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. By the end of July, the first 170 million euros of a total loan amounting to 400 million euros will be available. Eugeniu Buzatu, the interim director of Energocom, discussed on the "Spațiul Public" show on Radio Moldova how these funds will be utilized.
85 localities will gain access to safe drinking water as Belgium grants Moldova a €12 million loan
More than 55,000 residents of the Republic of Moldova will gain access to safe drinking water through a project that will install BOSAQ water kiosks in 85 localities across the country. The Parliament has ratified a loan agreement between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Government of the Kingdom of Belgium, amounting to 12 million euros. This funding is intended for the implementation of the "Decentralized Drinking Water Supply" Project.
Official: 76.9% of Transnistrian exports went to the EU since the start of the year
In the first half of 2025, exports from the Transnistrian region to European Union (EU) member states accounted for 76.9% of the total volume of foreign trade transactions. Additionally, imports from the EU made up 45.8%, according to information from the Reintegration Policy Bureau (BPR).
