Romanian Film Days 2025: Oscar contender in Chișinău
New films from Romanian and Moldovan directors, including Romania's Official Oscar Submission, will be screened from October 16 to 19 at the Cineplex-Loteanu Cinema in the Moldovan capital, Chișinău, as part of the 11th Romanian Film Days.

National Wine Day unites winemakers nationwide; government approves Grand Prize
Chisinau will host the 24th edition of National Wine Day this weekend, on October 4 and 5. The event will gather 106 wineries from all regions of the country and thousands of visitors in the Great National Assembly Square. Traditionally, the authorities will award the Grand Prize for outstanding merits in the winemaking field, a decision in this regard being approved on Wednesday, October 1, by the Government.

Italian violin making arrives in Moldova: first public string instrument collection
In Chișinău, the first collection of string instruments in the Republic of Moldova was inaugurated, a major project initiated by the Organ Hall in partnership with the Ministry of Culture. The collection consists of 24 musical instruments, entirely crafted by the renowned luthier Cesare Cipriani from Cremona, the Italian city considered the cradle of European violin making. On this occasion, a documentary was presented, showcasing in detail the artistic and technical process of creating the instruments.
